India’s first financial city will come up at the Hardware Park, on the outskirts of Bangalore. The foundation stone for the city was laid by finance minister Pranab Mukherjee and will be built by IFCI Infrastructure Development Limited.

The city will be built on 50 acres of land provided by the karnataka government, in association with leading banks and financial institutions. It is expected to be ready in 2015.
